Program staff and administrators have been working closely with at-risk youth in writing workshops and publication projects for the past six years. We have established relationships with state and local school boards, districts, principals, teachers, public officials, community leaders, school students and their parents.
Activities include reading, discussion and writing workshops (on-site in schools, communitycenters, public meeting places), photography workshops, cultural events (readings, lectures), exhibitions, conferences, national and international projects (sharing work and meeting with distant participants), and publications (print and Internet).
